We went to a Chinese restaurant for Curry Fish Head with parents last weekend. Here are some funny conversations during the dinner.
Dad: Where is my keropok (to waiter who took away the remaining two pieces)
Waiter: What?
Dad: My keropok ah, you took it away!!!!!
Waiter: What was that? (looks at Sean)
Sean: Oh, he meant the crackers!
Waiter: Oh you still want it?
Dad: Yes!!
The waiter gave us a full plate of crackers in apology....
Twenty minutes later...
Waiter: Do you still want the crackers, can I take it away (cantanese - sao zor kuoi)?
Dad: He wants to change a warmer dish of cracker for us...
Sean: Cracker is cold one mah... where got hot crackers!
Obviously dad only picked up the word "sao" from the waiter's words, meaning hot in Mandarin!
Dad: Shannyn, use your right hand to eat!
Mum: Never mind la!!
Sean: Good to use left hand, can develop right brain... use right hand develop left brain...
Dad: Use two hands no brain?!
Sean: Nooo, use two hands no strength to carry lah!!
