Carers Leave
She vomitted last night several times and had a really bad poo.... we had to change all our bedsheets due to the messiness!! Sean went to sleep next room as his side of bed was in a real mess!! But what worries us is not the messiness but what made her sick.
We went to the clinic early morning and was the second patient. The doctor was very patient and understanding and even wrote me a letter for my employer, explaining that I, as the main carer of my daughter, is unable to attend work as I have to take care of her as she is ill.
She has been sleeping for 2h hence am able to update a quick one.
Oh, here she is waking up already and calling Mummy.. off I go!!!

Time Killers!!!
I like to surf these websites to kill time and for the fun of it.
How do I find these websites?
It can be referral by friends, read from magazines, accidentally stumble upon when surfing the net for information etc.... And there is also the most useful weather website which tells me the weather for tomorrow, especially crucial to know what to wear the next day. And I have to check the weather before heading outside (during lunch break) so that I would know if I need to wear a jacket or to bring an umbrella with me.
Check out my time killers at the side bar!!
I found it - VIVI!!!!
We went to Boxhill (place with a lot of Chinese goods) and found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favourite Chinese fashion magazine, VIVI!!
This is the November 2009 cover, in Japanese. It is the same image as the Chinese version I bought!!! The cover girl, Lena Fujji, a Japanese girl, is my favourite model in the mag!!
I always get a copy in Malaysia when I visit as it is much much cheaper there. I didn't really see the mag selling in Singapore though... it had the Japanese version which costed S$30 each but it didn't have the Chinese version.
When I saw the magazine, I just super excited and kept yelling to hubby "They have my magazine here, they have my magazine here!!" It was as if I had found gold!!! Well, he was the least interested and was more keen in the wide-range of Chinese story books (for Shannyn).
And for only AUD10, it has the latest fashion tips, makeup tips, shoes, accessories, health etc and is no doubt my favourite magazine. The models are very fashionable (Japanese style), unlike the fashion over here, either black, white or grey (boring!!!!!!)
The only difference is that it is currently featuring autumn/winter clothes in the November 2009 issue as it is getting cold in Japan/HK/Taiwan whereas Summer is arriving in Australia!!

New Vacuum Cleaner!!
When we reached the store, Godfreys (huge store famous for selling cleaning gadgets in Australia), an Indian guy approached us. We were invited to sit down while he demonstrated the product to us. He grabbed a bucket of sand and poured in on a carpet. Then he started to vacuum using a huge commercial vacuum cleaner. Those big big ones with big suctions connections. While vacuuming, he asked us to stop once we are happy with the results. After a minute or two, we said "OK, that's fine" and he stopped. Then he picked up the Hoover vacuum, emptied the dust container inside and continued to vacuum the same carpet! And I can't believe my eyes! And we thought it was already spotless! Oh my god, the vacuum cleaner managed to pick up half a container of sand! I was convinced on the spot!!
Of course, as Sporeans, we had to get a good deal right? We had to bargain. We got two more freebies with the purchase, a carpet wash cleaner (big standing kind worth AUD219!!!) and a bottle of stain remover/cleaner (worth AUD10)!!!
We tried the new vacuum cleaner immediately once we reached home and the amount of dust it picked up was worth a whole year of vacuum cleaning with our old machine!! All right, I'm exaggerating here but it was really incredible!! I always thought my house was very 'clean' until now! Seeing is believing!!
And folks, steam cleaning is no use.... tell you more next time!
Do babies have nightmares?!?
Yesterday, she was screaming and kicking her legs after an afternoon nap. When we touched her, she kicked harder and screamed louder. Thinking she was awake, we left her alone for a few minutes. After 10 minutes or so, it seems like she was still unsettled. So we picked her up only to realise that she wasn't awake after all!! She was having bad dreams!!
"Did you have a bad dream"? I asked.
"Yes.." she replied.
"Did you dream of the big bad wolf?" I asked again.
"Yes.." she replied.
There you go! She was 'stuck' in the dreams and couldn't wake up fully.
At 2am today, she woke up screaming "HAIR BAND" continuously for a couple of minutes!! We reckon she must be having a nightmare and someone was trying to snatch her hairband!! We were stunned. It was irritating to be woken up at 2am but funny as well!!
In the middle of the night, she mumbled words like "Books" and also smiled in her sleep. Guess she must have gotten her hairband back from whoever was snatching it from her?? Hahaaa!!

Clunes Tinakori Farm
At first she was scared to see so many animals... after an hour or so, she started to warm up and enjoying the farm visit. The kids at the farm showed us around the place which was fun and relaxing.
The first time Shannyn feeds goats!
Feeding the Emu with bread!!
There were even peacocks at the farm!! The boy was trying to pull a peacock feather for us! He did not manage to get it in this clip but eventually he did manage to pluck a beautiful peacock feather!!

Beautiful day at Jells Park
With a weather forecast of 25 degrees, we had planned to go picnic with friends at Jells park. We brought muffins, croissants, coke, coffee and other (junk) yummy food to enjoy!!
We even set up a 'tent' which Kit described as an 'OP' (Observation Post) - for us to hide inside and observe the little ones! Haaa!

Finally had a go at the playgound!
