Tulip Festival - 14 Sept 2014

We went to the Tulip Festival in mid-September. It has been six years since our previous visit, I was pregnant with Shannyn then. We told her that she had been there but never seen the flowers, which technically was correct. She found it ridiculous. So she said that it did not count.

Entry fee: AUD22 for adults, kids under 16 free.

It was the first weekend of the Tulip Festival and the theme was Turkish. Hence, lots of Turkish food e.g. Kebabs, deep-fried potato cakes and Turkish deserts. I enjoyed the kebab and deserts most. There were other activities and food as well. Shannyn and grandma spent almost an hour doing origami at one of the booths.

As it was the first weekend, the flowers were not fully-bloomed. Nevertheless, still beautiful. It was totally worth it, the tulips were awesome!

What was really funny was that the next day, dad said that the lilies were very pretty. I nearly cried laughing. Oh well, as long as he enjoyed the experience, it was all that mattered.
